Thank you everyone who purchased wreaths and volunteered with the 2014 wreath laying campaign. Through the generosity of so many friends and family , we were able to place more than 5300 wreaths. Of those, about 1600 were placed at designated grave sites.
There are over 23,000 veterans whose final resting place is the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Please continue with your support and help spread the word so we might be able to place a wreath at each site.
Wreaths can be purchased online through this site or you can send a check or money order to Wreaths for Western Reserve, P. O. Box 573, Sharon Center, Ohio 44274. Orders are accepted between now and November 27, 2015. Any donations accepted after the deadline will be applied to the next year campaign.
This year's wreath placement will take place on Saturday, December 12 beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the brief ceremony at the flagpole.
In order for the cemetery crews to more easily move the many boxes of wreaths to the sections, please do not arrive at the cemetery earlier than 9:30 a.m.
Proceed to one of the sections and follow the directions of the Section Leader. Each Section Leader will have the list of special placements that need to be placed prior to the general placements.
Do no open boxes or begin making placements prior to being asked to do so by the Section Leader.
We appreciate the help and support of our volunteers and ask your cooperation in order to ensure all special placements are made properly.
The wreath clean up day has been changed to Saturday, January 23 beginning at 8:00 -am. Any help is appreciated!
We will be updating the webpage for 2016 - check back later for current information.
